ROUNDTABLE: The Role of Arts and Youth Leadership in Achieving Justice in L.A.
Led by the Arts for Incarcerated Youth Network
Sunday April 14 | 11:30AM - 1:00PM
UCLA School of Law | Room 1447
Join youth leaders from the Arts for Incarcerated Youth Network to learn about how art is being utilized to shift hearts, minds, and policies in order to achieve justice in Los Angeles. From pushing the county to make strong commitments towards diversion practices that prevent the historical criminalization of Black and Brown youth and demonstrating the power of the arts for individual and structural transformation to fighting for oversight of probation and other systems that have directly impacted AIYN youth, their families and communities - youth leaders will guide participants through the experience of obstacles young people face in L.A. and the tools and resiliencies that help them grow and thrive.
